1948 Ford F1 Flat Bed Pickup Truck * Modified w/Flat Bed w/Stake Sides
Modified with flat bed with stake sides, and lockable Delta tool box mounted at front of the bed. Truck was purchased by my friend in 1989, and soon after the Cab was painted Corvette Yellow sometime in the early 1990s after the original engine was replaced with a 350 cid GM performance engine from Summit Racing. Includes Holley four barrel carburetor and electronic ignition.
Transmission is a GM turbo hydromatic 3-speed automatic shifted by a Lokar floor shifter. Front disk brakes and rear drums bring the truck to a stop.
Mileage shown is 30,594, but total mileage is unknown, but believed to be mileage on the replacement engine, as dash gauges were replaced with modern Stewart-Warner units and include a speedometer, fuel, volts, oil pressure and engine temperature.
The bench seat is in great condition and covered with black vinyl upholstery.
The truck has been used sparingly since owner's death in 2021, but started and run every few months since. Truck is stored west of St. Louis, Missouri and is started and driven occasionally. Last registered in Illinois in 2024. The truck has a clean Illinois title signed by the owner.
