We’re offering our 1968 Pontiac Tribute GTO Convertible! This beautiful second-generation GTO Tribute is painted in a stunning Solar red complimented by a gorgeous Parchment interior also has the desirable body colored Endura front bumper. This Tribute GTO is powered by a 400cid Pontiac HO V8 putting down 360 HP mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission with a dual gate shifter. Additional equipment are the hood mounted tachometer, hideaway headlights, power steering and brakes (front disc) and factory air conditioning.
In 1968 GTO's A-body was shortened just over 5 inches from earlier models. These semi-fastback GTO’s also gained horizontal headlights in 68, as opposed to the vertical headlights of prior years. Another improvement for 1968 included hidden windshield wipers. It gained dual hood scoops as opposed to the previous center single scoop as well. It was this year that the GTO received the Motor Trend Car of the Year Award.
