Description:
For sale is my 1979 mustang. Originally a 2.8 6 Cylinder car. Has 1989 grey block which is oem forged pistons. Engine has been gone through and is in fantastic running condition. New gaskets, bearings and seals. Has afr 165cc aluminum heads. Comp gold magnum rockers in 1.6 ratio. Stock h.o camshaft. Ford racing single plane. Holley super sniper 650 efi system. Aeromotive stealth 340 fuel pump and corresponding boost referenced regulator. Holley hyperspark distributor and ignition box. Uses a msd factory style coil. Ford racing spark wires. Plugs are dropped 1 heat range index. Arp head studs and compsite head gaskets. Arp oil pump droveshaft. New Ford balancer, New Ford flywheel. American powertain clutch rated at 600 ft lbs. Transmission is a tremic tkx with the same overdrive as a t5. New driveshaft fully balanced and custom made. Stifflers cross member. the torque boxes are the nicest ones I've ever seen. Welded them up on all the seams and installed full length subframe connectors from BBK. Lower control arms are oem but have been boxed and poly bushings installed. Uppers have the same done. Stock fuel tank has been swapped for a later model 16 gallon unit. Drilled and slotted brakes all the way around and calipers are upgraded to the sn95 style along with sn95 spindles. New brakes lines both hard and soft in the front. All brakes are New with new seals, pads and rotors. Axles are 5 lug to accommodate the wheels and brakes upgrades. Center section is an oem 1990 unit with a new set of 3.73 Ford racing gears installed along with a new clutch pack and correct additive from Ford. Rear springs are new 1990 gt springs with 1 coil cut. New isolators installed. Front k member is a upr unit. Spindles have been sand blasted and properly painted to appear new. Front springs are 175 pounds per inch 14 inch coils. Ignition components in the engine bay are mounted on a handmade and properly installed aluminum plate. Radiator and water pump are new. Water pump is from napa. Thermostat is new with oem 195 temp rating. Cooling a 4 row aluminum radiator that is usa made. New contour style dual fans which are controlled by the Holley. 3g alternator upgrade has been done. Battery is located in the trunk. On3 performance alternator relocation kit to made room for the turbo system. The turbo kit started out as a cx racing new style 70mm kit. Turbo has been changed out for a nicer vs racing billet 70mm unit. Oil line to turbo is also upgraded to an actual hydraulic line. Ford racing oil filter relocation kit installed and the engine now uses a newer style oil filter found on newer 3.5 and 5.0 trucks and cars. Brake booster is new. New clutch cable with a steeda firewall adjuster nut. Upr caster camber plates. Previous owner of the wheels rushed them up a small amount on one wheel. Tires are new nitto 555r g2 in 275 width to match the 2001 mustang wheels. Blow off valve has been upgraded to a turbosmart and adjusted to function properly. Story on how I found the car it was my friend's grandmother's who passed away roughly 20 years ago. The car blew a head gasket in about 1991 and sat. I found it in 2006 or so. Friend had the car and wanted me to have because he couldn't afford to finish the car. Rear trunk lid is not oem. I have one but it needed more work. Trunk doesn't fit 100 percent so rear window trim is not installed. Factory sticker for fasten seat belt is still on the dash. The car did spend some time in the sun and the interior isn't perfect. Needs someone to take it all the way and make the car the 50k plus car it deserves to be. I have other inertest and am moving on the pursue them. Interior has only has a basic wipe down. I have the oem. Fender liners but have not installed them. Headliner needs new pad. It is bare at the moment. Car needs an alignment but drives well. Sway bars are also from a 1990 gt.
